Recently, the "8 billion cubic meters/year Coal-to-Gas Project Water Resources Demonstration Report of Sinopec Xinjiang Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd." has been revised and improved by the compiling unit, passed the careful review of experts, and finally obtained the approval document of the Yellow River Water Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources (Yellow Water Transfer (2016) No. 9).
Sinopec Xinjiang Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. The proposed coal-to-gas project is located in Dajing Mining Area, Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, Xinjiang. The construction scale is 8 billion cubic meters/year coal-to-natural gas, and the actual production capacity is 8.079 billion cubic meters/year. It mainly undertakes industrial demonstration tasks such as "crushed coal + fly ash combined coal gasification process, domestic large-scale pulverized coal gasification technology, domestic methanation process, and efficient utilization of coal tar hydrogenation.
In this project, the annual water intake after water delivery and treatment losses is 40.913 million m3 (including 40.417 million m3 for production and 496000 m3 for domestic use), the water consumption per unit of natural gas product is 4.76 m3/1000 Nm3, and the reuse water consumption rate of the whole plant is 98.1, which are in line with relevant national industry regulations.
The acquisition of the project approval document provides a technical basis for the project's legal water intake permit approval, and also lays a good foundation for further promoting the preliminary work of the coal-to-gas project. The project is in line with the relevant national industrial policies, and is of great significance for giving full play to the advantages of coal resources in Zhundong, developing coal-based clean energy, promoting the local transformation of resources and the economic and social development of Xinjiang. The main product natural gas of
project is to be exported through Sinopec's "New Guangdong Zhejiang" (Xinjiang Zhundong-Guangdong-Zhejiang) gas pipeline. The pipeline includes one trunk line and four straight lines, with an annual gas transmission capacity of 30 billion cubic meters. The market covers 12 provinces and regions including Xinjiang, Shandong, Zhejiang and Guangdong. The total length of the line is 7927 kilometers, including 4859 kilometers of trunk lines and 3068 kilometers of branch lines. It is an important pipeline connecting Xinjiang Yili, Zhundong coal gas source, northwest natural gas and central China, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Guangxi gas market. In addition, the pipeline is invested and constructed by Sinopec, which can fully guarantee the transmission and sales of natural gas.
