Shenhua Ningmei 4 million Tons of Coal-to-Oil Production in September

It took 26 months to complete the investment of nearly 35 billion yuan

From the 2016 Coal-to-Oil Chemical Project Construction Work Conference held by Shenhua Ningmei Group on February 24, it was learned that the first indirect coal liquefaction demonstration project in China, Shenhua Ningmei Coal-to-Oil Demonstration Project with an annual output of 4 million tons, and Oil Line A will be put into trial on August 10 this year, qualified oil products can be produced in September. The project is considered to have solved the historical problem of the transformation and development of Ningxia coal enterprises and become the "fixed star" leading the overall transformation of Ningxia industry ".

The total investment of this project is 55 billion yuan. Since the construction started in November 2013 to the end of 2015, the total investment has been 34.747 billion yuan. At present, 99.7 per cent of the design work has been completed and the civil works have been basically completed. On February 24, it was seen at the construction site that the coal-to-liquid project 330 kV substation, 110 kV regional substation, 35 kV substation of some devices, off-plant pressure pump station, water supply and fire pump station, air pressure station, waste heat recovery station, etc. have been put into trial operation, the power station has been put into coal ignition, and the high-pressure steam pipeline has begun to purge. Cai Lihong, commander-in-chief of the

coal-to-liquid project headquarters, introduced that from now on, the coal-to-liquid project will test-run air separation series, coal gasification, syngas purification, sulfur recovery and other devices.

On August 10, 2016, the methanol plant will produce qualified products, and the oil line A will also be officially put into production. On November 20, oil product line B was fed, and the whole process of the project was opened by the end of the year.

After the project is completed, it can convert 24 million tons of raw coal and produce 4.053 million tons of synthetic oil products annually, including blended diesel oil, naphtha and liquefied petroleum gas. In addition, can also by-product sulfur, mixed alcohol, ammonium sulfate. After the project is put into production, it will not only increase the overall added value of the product, but also enable Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group to move towards a diversified development path based on coal, opening up new ways for the transformation and upgrading of coal enterprises, creating a model of the entire industry chain.

Shenning Group's 4 million-ton/year coal indirect liquefaction demonstration project is the second national coal deep processing demonstration project after Shenhua Group's successful construction and operation of the Ordos coal direct liquefaction project. It is also the world's largest coal-to-liquid project with a single unit. The project is located in Area A of Coal Chemical Industry Park of Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base in Ningxia, with a total area of 815.23 hectares, of which the main plant area covers an area of 334.4 hectares. The project uses coal as raw material and converts 20.36 million tons of coal annually, including 16.45 million tons of raw coal, 3.91 million tons of fuel coal, 24.78 million cubic meters of water per year and 4.052 million tons of synthetic oil per year, including 2.733 million tons of blended diesel oil, 983000 tons of naphtha and 336000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas. 128000 tons of by-product sulfur, 75000 tons of mixed alcohol and 107000 tons of ammonium sulfate. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 55 billion yuan, with an average annual sales income of 26.6 billion yuan and an average annual profit and tax of 15.3 billion yuan. The coal gasification adopts GSP dry pulverized coal pressurized gasification technology, and the oil synthesis unit adopts the medium-temperature slurry bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology of Zhongke synthetic oil.
