On April 24, the 600000-ton/year methanol-to-olefin plant of Yan 'an Coal Oil and Gas Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project was officially started. The project mainly includes four units: methanol to olefin unit, olefin separation unit, equipment cabinet room and substation. It is planned to be completed in October 2017 and put into operation in 2018. The

project is EPC contracted by Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd. At present, the detailed design of the project has been fully and deeply carried out, the project procurement work is progressing in an orderly manner, and the first batch of project management personnel have been stationed on site to carry out work.

Among them, the DMTO unit adopts DMTO technology jointly developed by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xinxing Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company of Sinopec Group, with an annual processing capacity of 1.8 million tons of methanol. The olefin separation unit adopts the technology of depropanization and hydrogenation before rums in the United States, with an annual output of 300000 tons of polymeric ethylene and 300000 tons of polymeric propylene. The unit is expected to invest 1.8 billion yuan and will be contracted by Sinopec Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd. EPC. It is planned to be completed and put into operation in March 2018.

Yan 'an Coal Oil and Gas Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project was filed with the Provincial Development and Reform Commission in November 2007. After planning and demonstration, it is determined to be located in Luoyang Village, Fu County, Yan 'an. It will mainly build 1.8 million tons/year methanol, 600000 tons/year methanol deep processing, 400000 tons/year young oil processing and utilization, 420000 tons/year polyethylene, 250000 tons/year polypropylene, 200000 tons/year butanol, 80000 tons/year 2PH (dipropylheptanol), 50000 tons/year ethylene propylene rubber and other main units and supporting public works systems, the overall design estimate is 21.6 billion yuan.

Yan 'an Coal Oil and Gas Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project uses 1.057 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 920000 tons of raw coal, 1.02 million tons of fuel coal and 400000 tons of naphtha as raw materials each year, adopts international advanced technology that meets environmental protection requirements, and takes the path of olefin deep processing to produce high-quality polyethylene, polypropylene, butanol, 2PH, ethylene-propylene rubber and other chemical products, fully reflecting the characteristics of hydrogen-carbon complementarity and circular economy, among them, butanol, 2PH and ethylene-propylene rubber will fill the gap of similar products in Shaanxi Province. It is estimated that after the completion of the project, the annual output value will be 13.5 billion yuan and the profit and tax will be 3.6 billion yuan. It will become a demonstration project of low-carbon economy, circular economy and comprehensive utilization of resources.

Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yan'an Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in September 2009. Its predecessor was Yan'an Methanol Project Preparation Office. It consists of 11 departments including Technical Management Department and Equipment Management Department, coal gasification purification center, natural gas conversion and synthesis center, and 11 departments including project management department and design management department of the project management team. It is mainly responsible for the construction and operation of the comprehensive utilization project of Yan'an kerosene and gas resources.
